SUMMARY: The Technical Support Manager combines leadership and customer support experience with deep and wide technical expertise in the health care industry across a variety of technologies and is responsible for appropriate staffing, staff management and overall scheduling of the delivery and support of our medical software solutions to our clients

Responsibilities

  • Manages IT support staff, including education, training, and scheduling for 24/7 call center.
  • Develops very close working relationships with client to fully deliver on expectations and needs.
  • Ensures continuity of computer services for computer users throughout the organization through planning, technical leadership, and project coordination.
  • Organizes support, troubleshooting, and repair for IT equipment and networks.
  • Establishes data integrity and security policies and procedures to insure confidentiality and appropriate access to company information in accordance with HIPAA program.
  • Monitors online security for users and networks and takes appropriate steps to address security breaches if necessary.
  • Offers specialized expertise in IT demands for the healthcare industry.
  • Ensures all users benefit from effective technology and efficient Internet access, and continually assesses needs and requirements.
  • Coordinates training and orientation for new technology users and helps them become familiar with equipment and networks.
  • Establishes relationships with technology and component vendors.
  • Assists with computer equipment purchasing and installation.
  • Develops and maintains emergency plans to address equipment, power, or security failure to ensure preservation of technology and data.
  • Supports, maintains and enhances security of date in conjunction with IT strategy and compliance with HIPAA program guidelines.
  • Has a thorough understanding of available technology and researches to learn about innovative solutions and new releases.
  • Attends and presents at trade shows and technology showcases to remain up-to-date regarding new developments.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Technical undergraduate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or Engineering required. Master’s Degree preferred and technical certifications will be considered.
  2. 5 years management experience supervising medical imaging Support and Implementations teams deploying PACS solutions.
  3. Previous medical imaging experience working with large healthcare enterprises either directly as a member of the healthcare enterprise or a vendor of the healthcare enterprises.
  4. Experience with the administration of telephony call management systems, CRM & Salesforce
  5. Strong technical (PACs, VNA, Viewer, HL7, DICOM, TCP/IP protocol, Ethernet, WAN, LDAP, Active Directory, Novell NetWare) skills, analytical and problem-solving skills in the medical imaging field
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  7. Exceptional customer service, coaching and people skills
  8. The ability to prioritize, delegate and manage multiple tasks and conflicts
  9. Demonstrated ability to build a team.
  10. Strong attention to detail.
  11. Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check.
