IT Support Technician
PaxeraHealth seeks a qualified IT support technician to join our team at the Newton, MA office. This position is responsible for assisting our clients with their software and hardware issues, The position requires someone who is keen, energetic and wants to be involved in a high paced assignment and assist the organization to achieve the established deployment timelines.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Delivering end user support services, troubleshooting and maintenance of all computer hardware, software, and network
- Identify and classify problems, analyze root cause, recommend workarounds and resolution
- Administration and maintenance of all servers, firewalls, V.P.N., printers and computer related peripherals
- Identify gaps, create and maintain support documentation
- Support, manage, coordinate and supply solutions to PaxeraHealth clients ensuring minimal down-time.
- Assist in all Support Office and location upgrades and purchases of software and hardware
Job Requirements:
- A BS degree in IT/computer science is required with GPA of 3.0 or better
- 2-5 years hands on experience in a similar role with in-depth knowledge of servers, computer hardware and software troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience and deep knowledge of SQL and database management, Microsoft OS, SharePoint and encryption technology
- Ability to be on-call and work flexible hours as required
- Solid work ethic, self-driven with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must exhibit very strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Problem-solving and quantitative skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Must be detail oriented and organized, work well under tight deadlines
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, service-oriented, articulate, clear and concise communicator to follow-up effectively with all levels of employees and management
- PACS/RIS EMR support experience or CIIP certification
- Cisco or compatible certifications is a plus
- Continuous learning as required for position
